James Buchanan is best-known as our nation's 15th President, but he was also a gentleman farmer. From 1848-1868, Buchanan lived at Wheatland, which sat upon 22.5 acres of meadows, orchards, gardens, and more. Join Museum Associate Stephanie Celiberti for a presentation on how the grounds of Wheatland functioned as a farm and green space over the course of Buchanan's life. 

The first part of the program will take place in Ryder Hall with a presentation. The second part will be tour of the property that is optional.

 

Children 17 years or younger must be accompanied by a paying Adult 18 years or older.
