On Saturday, September 27 at 10am, join LancasterHistory in honoring Lancaster's day as the nation's capital with fun for the whole family: a parade of pets! Owners and furry friends alike are encouraged to dress in colonial, revolutionary, or patriotic attire, and get ready to strut their fluff!
Parade participants will gather outside the museum for brief, bark-sized remarks on the history of Capital Day and then parade around the square just like the Continental Congress' march into Lancaster.
A pet bandana is included with registration, along with free sniffs and water.
By registering for this event, owners certify that their animals are leashed or appropriately contained, up to date on all required veterinary immunizations, and are friendly with crowds, kids, and other animals. All children under 17 and pets must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.
While this event is free and open to the public, there is a suggested donation of $10 which can be made on-site or in the cart during checkout.
By purchasing or registering for a ticket to our facility and/or program, you are agreeing to our Admissions & Programs Terms and Conditions.
