Welcome back for Storytime! Join us for five weeks in May as we read a book each Thursday and then complete an activity or craft based on the book of the week.
Suggested Ages: 12 & Under
HOW TO REGISTER: You can register for all May programs below in one convenient registration OR select "Show Individual Events" to register for specific May Storytime days.
For May, the books schedule is as follows:
All Storytimes will be held outdoors unless there is inclement weather in which the program will be moved indoors. We encourage parents/guardians/adults to review our Health & Safety Protocols for Visitors. We recommend one (1) adult attend per household.

On June 19, join LancasterHistory and the Lancaster Branch of the NAACP at the Thaddeus Stevens & Lydia Hamilton Smith Center for History and Democracy for a special coffee hour and children’s storytime to celebrate Juneteenth! Enjoy light breakfast treats before settling down for storytime, featuring two special guests who will read the books “Juneteenth for Mazie” (by Floyd Cooper) and “All Different Now” (by Angela Johnson). After storytime, we’ll make a craft for kids to take home.
All ages are welcome! Books suggested for ages 12 and under. We recommend one (1) adult attend per household. Additional details enclosed in confirmation email.
